Our team of physical, occupational and speech therapists have treated people with brain and spinal cord injury for over 20 years.  We have advanced training in NDT treatment technique, Saeboflex technology, LSVT Big & Loud, Speak Out program, Vital Stim and are constantly adding training and technology to their skill set.  Conditions that are helped by Neuro Rehab may include:

The Neuro Rehab Program

Therapy Achievements teams with you and your doctor to design a rehabilitation program to help you return to the highest level of function and independence possible. Neuro Rehab’s goal is to improve your overall quality of life — physically, emotionally, and socially.  Your program may include physical therapy, occupational therapy, or speech therapy in a combination and frequency that will best meet your needs.  Involvement of you and your family is vital to the success of the program and Neuro Rehab may include:

  • Training in how to complete activities of daily living (ADLs), such as eating, dressing, bathing, toileting, handwriting, cooking, and basic housekeeping
  • Speech therapy to help with speaking, reading, writing, or swallowing
  • Activities to improve mobility (movement), muscle control, gait (walking), and balance
  • Exercise programs to improve movement, prevent or decrease weakness caused by lack of use, manage spasticity and pain, and maintain range of motion
  • Help with connecting with community support groups
  • Activities to improve cognitive impairments, such as problems with concentration, attention, memory, and poor judgment
  • Help with obtaining assistive devices that promote independence
  • Education and counseling
  • Safety and independence measures and home care needs
  • Pain management
