TRAINING & EXPERIENCE

I received my Masters in Speech and Language Pathology from Wichita State University, KS and have worked in the field of Speech Therapy for over 15 years. I have worked in community pediatric and adult inpatient, outpatient and rehabilitation hospital settings.

EXPERTISE & CERTIFICATIONS

I work primarily with people who have Stroke, Parkinson’s Disease, Dementia and other neurological issues. I specialize in treating cognitive impairment, communication difficulty and dysphagia. I am certified in McNeill Dysphagia Therapy, Prompts for Restructuring Oral Muscular Phonetic Targets Method, and the Modified Barium Swallow Impairment Profile. I am currently working on becoming a Brain Injury Specialist as certified by the Brain Injury Association of America and completing my ARC Dementia Masterclass. I enjoy trying to identify what cognitive function has changed with brain injury, stroke and dementia and determining how to improve these skills.
