Peripheral Neuropathy Awareness
May is Neuropathy Awareness Month
Peripheral neuropathy affects more than 20 million people in the U.S., causing symptoms such as pain, numbness, tingling, and weakness—most often in the hands and feet.
This month, we’re raising awareness of the challenges faced by those living with neuropathy and promoting the importance of early detection, treatment options, and support resources.
The Foundation for Peripheral Neuropathy is leading the way by expanding public knowledge, educating patients and caregivers, and providing valuable tools for understanding the prevalence, diagnosis, and management of peripheral neuropathy.
???? Early diagnosis can make a significant difference.
???? Don’t ignore symptoms like tingling, burning, or loss of sensation.
???? Physical therapy—including techniques like laser therapy and dry needling—can help reduce symptoms and improve function.
???? Share this post to spread awareness.
Together, we can move toward better understanding, better care, and better outcomes.
