Walk to End Alzheimer's^® is the world's largest fundraiser for Alzheimer's care, support and research. It is held annually in more than 600 communities nationwide by the Alzheimer's Association.  And Therapy Achievements wants you to join their team!

Our Walk for Hope!

This walk is more than just an event for us - it is a tribute to our loved ones who have been touched by dementia and to our patients and their caregivers who struggle with the challenges it brings every day.

In addition to helping our patients and their caregivers develop strategies to deal with demenita and Alheimer's Disease, we each have personal experience with the devastation dementia brings:

•  Karen watched her sweet mother slowly loose her precious memories about who she was and the people she loved.
• Melissa watched her grandmother - the pillar of strength for their family - slowly loose her ability to command her words and thoughts.
• Dee watched her auntie - the life of the party, always surrounded by laughter and joy - slowly loose her spark as life faded to anxiety and confusion.

So we walk to not only to honor the memory of our beloved family, but to give hope to those currently in the struggle.  Discovery of more effective treatments depends on research.  And research depends on funding.
